Mary Wagner, MAI

Mary Wagner, MAI, is a Senior Commercial Appraiser with Praedium Valuation Group in Chicago.

Mary has been an Illinois state-certified commercial real estate appraiser since 1991.  She joined Praedium Valuation Group in 2016 after 25 years at Midwest Appraisal Company.  Mary served as President of Midwest Appraisal Company from 2001-2016, overseeing the operations and strategy of the company, as well as managing their commercial appraisal practice.

Mary’s appraisal experience includes appraisal, appraisal review, and consulting assignments for all types of real estate and property rights, including but not limited to: multi-family residential (rental and sell-out), development sites (commercial, residential, industrial), industrial, commercial and special purpose properties. Industrial properties include factories, warehouses, and manufacturing and distribution facilities. Commercial and special purpose properties include office buildings, shopping centers, big box retail, single tenant net lease, banks, and restaurants.

Mary has completed appraisal reports for financial institutions, appraisal management companies, municipalities, attorneys, accountants, not-for-profit organizations, investors, and individuals.

Mary is qualified as an expert witness in federal bankruptcy court, the City of Chicago Zoning Board of Appeals, and at municipal hearings.

Mary holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute. She serves as a Candidate Advisor for appraisers working towards professional designation with the Appraisal Institute.

Mary earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
