RJ Schmitt Valuation Group (RJS) is pleased to announce that it is now part of Praedium Valuation Group (PVG). Ray Schmitt and Greg Schmitt, along with their talented team of appraisers and office staff, joined PVG in November 2019. Established in 1964, RJ Schmitt Valuation Group was one of the first independent real estate appraisal firms in the Chicagoland area. More than 50 years later, RJS still has their first client.

Founded in 2001, Praedium Valuation Group is a professionally managed commercial and residential real estate valuation and consulting firm based in Chicago.

Both companies are known for providing professional, responsive, and high-quality appraisal services to Chicago’s leading lending institutions, businesses, government agencies and individuals. Combined, the firm now has more than 40 appraisers, providing our clients with expanded geographic coverage, enhanced local expertise, and superior property knowledge. The team includes five MAI-designated appraisers and four SRA-designated residential appraisers, certified Appraisal Institute course instructors, a State of Illinois Appraisal Board member, and qualified expert witnesses.
